The Puerto Rican Literature Project

José Archilla Cabrera was born on March 25, 1881 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He moved with his parents to Naranjito, Puerto Rico, when he was very young.. He is the author of “Ante el sitio en que nací,” a poem he wrote at the age of seventeen.
