Teresa Buxeda Badía del Valle was born in 1875 in Arrozal in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and died in 1936 in her hometown. She was the daughter of María Badía and Santiago Buxeda. After her first years in elementary school, she became interested in literature. In 1908, she published her first articles in El Duende. She also wrote for La Correspondencia de Puerto Rico y El Vigilante de Humacao and wrote under the pen names of Eneidas and Tebbe. She was a defender of the women's suffrage movement as well as other social issues.
