The Puerto Rican Literature Project

Paola Capó-García is a poet and translator from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her book Clap for Me That’s Not Me (Rescue Press, 2018) won the 2017 Black Box Poetry Prize. She is cofounder and editor of littletell, and coeditor of Alchemy Journal, in the English Department at UC San Diego. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from UC San Diego, an MA in English from UC Davis and a B.S. in Magazine Journalism/English & Textual Studies from Syracuse University. Paola’s main interests are in contemporary poetry, Latinx Studies and Women’s Studies.
