Pedro Ángel Cebollero was born in San Sebastian in 1896. He wrote modernist poetry and Enrique Torres Rivera considered him one of the best poets of the first half of the twentieth century. Cebollero’s poetry is compared to writers Lidio Cruz Monclova, Antonio Martínez Alvarez, and Matías González García, for the manner in which he worked with folklore. His writing was published in Revista de las Antillas and in Puerto Rico Ilustrado.
