When he was seven years old, Davon Clark wrote his first poem to his neighbor in order to confess his love. Clark is a Black Puerto Rican, New Jersey-born, Philadelphia-raised artist, photographer, and poet, who incorporates investigative journalism practices into his poetry and photography. He attended Pennsylvania State University, where he became Editor-in-Chief and Photo Editor for Sovereign Magazine. He was also a 2018 Photography Fellow for the CITY BUREAU. His poetry has been published in Button Poetry, Write About Now Poetry, Poetry Slam Inc., among others. Clark was a 2017 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) champion, a two-time National Poetry Slam finalist, a member of the Philly Pigeon Slam team in 2018, and a Pushcart Award nominee that same year. He lives in Chicago, IL.
