José Miguel Curet (1976) is a poet, scholar, and professor. He has published three poetry books: La pérdida es mía (La Secta de los Perros/ La Impresora, 2019), Revienta (Atarraya Cartonera, 2011) y De visita, simples rutinas (Los Décimos Primeros, 2002). He earned a doctorate in Spanish and Latin American literature from the University of Salamanca, Spain. Additionally, he has a bachelor’s degree in French and philosophy from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and a master’s degree in French Literature from Middlebury College School in Paris. His poetry explores themes of precarity, colonial violence, and domestic memories. In 2022 he published Vanguardia y revoluciòn en Pablo de Rhoka with Ediciones Tácitas in Chile. He is currently writing his fourth collection of poetry Sombra desierta, Sombra de dos and teaches Spanish and literature courses at UPRRP.
