José Antonio Daubón
(He/Him)José Antonio Daubón was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1840 and died in 1922. His elementary school years were spent in the capital and in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He completed his high school education at the Seminario Conciliar de San Juan. He was an employee of the Puerto Rico Treasury for many years. His effort to catalog the island’s varied customs is recognized in his work Cosas de Puerto Rico, written and published between 1904 and 1905. In 1889, he published El Proceso de 1889 in collaboration with José Mercado, Manuel Fernández Juncos, Rafael del Valle, Luis Rodríguez Cabrero, and others. In 1900, he published Poesías.
