Pablo Alfaro y Santiago was a writer and poet born in Coamo, Puerto Rico. He studied law for two years at the Universidad de Barcelona and for a year at the Universidad de la Habana. In December 1906, he obtained his law degree in Puerto Rico. He also worked as a Municipal Judge of Coamo under Spanish rule as a legal correspondent for the Boletín Mercantil and as a collaborator with the magazine Los domingos del Boletín. Alfaro y Santiago died on February 25, 1916 in Coamo.
