Jesús Gil de Lamadrid (Antuco Antúnez)
(He/Him)Jesús Gil de Lamadrid was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico in 1896 and died in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico in 1955. He worked in the newspaper industry in Ponce, Puerto Rico and San Juan, Puerto Rico, starting as a linotypist and ultimately becoming the editor of El Día. He published satire under the pseudonym Simplicio in the newspaper El Globo in San Juan. His works include Cuatrocosas (1925), A punta de lápiz (Ed. Venezuela, 1927), and Remanso lírico (1963).
