Amina Muñoz Ali is a New York born and raised Puerto Rican and Arab-American poet and short-story writer. Her work has been published in the anthologies, Nuyorican Poetry (William Morrow, 1975) and Cuentos: Stories by Latinas (Kitchen Table Press, 1983), and in magazines such as Essence, Phatitude, Tribes, AM New York, Revista Chicano-Riqueña, Heresies, Longshot, Rag Shock, Third Woman, and La Respuesta. Muñoz Ali’s one-act plays, poetry and monologues have been presented at Henry Street Settlement House, Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, the Knitting Factory, Touro College, and Manhattan Plaza.
