Gamelyn Felipe Oduardo Sierra was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He is a poet, artisan, and lawyer. Exposed to art and music at a young age, he began to take an interest in literature during his teenage years. At the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, he studied Political Science and later Law. He soon began publishing his poems in literary journals such as Letras Salvajes. Inspired by protest and “género urbano” music, he developed patriotic and socially-conscious themes throughout his work. In 2015, he published his first book, Encandilar, with the press Editorial Disonante. He is also the author of En cantos (2018) and La hipoteca (2019), both of which were published with La Impresora.
