Arturo O’Neill was born in 1897 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He was a lawyer, poet, the son of the Romantic-Parnassian poet Luis O’Neill y Martínez, and the brother of the poet and dean of Puerto Rican librarians, Luis O'Neill de Milán. He published in the quarterly magazine Brújula. His poetry includes "The Voice of the Hours" (1920), “Eutanasia,” and “Renacimiento”.
