A poet, composer, and translator, Amaya Enya Ortiz Rodríguez was born in 1993 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of the orchestra conductor William Ortiz. She studied comparative literature at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Ortiz Rodríguez is the author of Migajas de mis sentidos (2015), Niaya (Biblio Services, 2020), and Iridiscencia (2022). In 2015, she received a certificate of excellence for the poem/song “Bomba del Tsar” at FestiVegas. That year, she also placed third at the University of Puerto Rico’s Certamen Literario with her poem “Con el alma en un hilo.”
