Noel Rico
(He/Him)Noel Rico, also known as Neil Raymond Nicco, is a Nuyorican poet and mystery novelist, who grew up in the South Bronx and Brentwood, Long Island, New York. He studied English literature at Colby College and Long Island University, and his work has been published in Mag City, Y’Bird, Bilingual Review, Greenfield Review, Contact II, and Revista Chicano-Riqueña, among other publications. His early work often explored poverty, racism, death, and police brutality. Rico was also working on a collection of poetry entitled Roberto Rios, the poems of which can be found in several literary journals from the 1970s, including Mag City and Y’Bird.
