Nic Rodríguez Villafane
(They/Them/He/Him)Nic Rodríguez Villafane is a non-binary professor, poet, researcher, DJ, and social justice facilitator. They earned a BA in sociology at Bryn Mawr College in 2010 and an MFA from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey in 2016. Currently, they are pursuing a PhD at the University of California San Diego and teach creative writing at Thomas Jefferson University. In 2012, Rodríguez Villafane received a Leeway Foundation Arts & Change. They have been a researcher for Philadelphia Participatory Research Collective (PPRC) for over 15 years. Their work has appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, NASW Press Journal for Social Work, and The Gordian Review. Along with David Luis Glisch-Sánchez, Rodríguez Villafane co-edited the anthology Sana, Sana: Latinx Pain and Radical Visions for Healing & Justice (Common Notions Press, 2023).
