Lucca B. Valentín Medina was born in 1991, in Manatí, Puerto Rico. He is a Afro-descendant writer and Spanish teacher educator. He received a BA in secondary education from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras (UPRRP ) degree in secondary education. He also offers editorial support to emerging writers and professionals through workshops, revisions, and creative consultancy, among other services. He won first place in the UPRRP Humanities department’s Certamen Literario de Cuento, with the short story, “Eutanasia.” He has collaborated with Eiric Ritchter Durandal Stormcrow, Gaddiel Francisco Ruiz Rivera, Kelly Daniel Díaz, Mayda Colón, and Carlos Vázquez. His first publication was the handcrafted book Bagatales (Editorial Corpus, 2014).
