El Proyecto de la literatura puertorriqueña

Blas Falconer nació y se crió en Virginia. Es poeta y editor puertorriqueño. Obtuvo un bachillerato de la Universidad George Mason, un MFA de la Universidad de Maryland (1997) y un doctorado en Escritura Creativa en Español y Literatura de la Universidad de Houston en 2002. Sus obras incluyen The Perfect Hour (2006), A Question of Gravity and Light (2007), The Foundling Wheel (2012) y Forgive the Body This Failure (2018). Co-editó The Other Latin@: Writing Against a Singular Identity (2011, con Lorraine M. López) y Mentor & Muse: Essays from Poets to Poets (2010), con Beth Martinelli and Helena Mesa. Falconer fue editor de poesía para la revista literaria Zone 3 y editor para Zone 3 Press. Es el editor de la sección de poesía para el Los Angeles Review. Sus premios incluyen una beca del National Foundation for the Arts en el 2011, el premio Maureen Egen Writers Exchange de Poets & Writers, una beca de artista individual de Tennessee, el premio New Delta Review Eyster para la poesía y la beca Barthelme. Enseña en San Diego State University.
